Sad.
I mean, they may get picked up again by the blog I steal them from, but unless I do some asking and someone on the internet does some answering, I think the daily question has died.
Now to put more effort into the pending 10 page paper on the Riace bronzes.
Turns out my best book on the topic is in Italian. (dispassionate grunt) Turns out I do need to learn Italian. Not for this paper, of course, but because it is another of the scholarly languages in my field. I am going for French first, though, because I have the best access to materials. Then German. You see, I actually want to know Italian, not just have a reading knowledge of it like the other two.
And that will take time.
